We took pictures of every student and staff with milk mustaches and made 3 big posters to hang in the cafeteria.  We had a poster contest in which each class made a dairy poster (see samples below)  and the winning class won an ice cream party.  Every class (21 classes!) made homemade ice cream in ziploc bags while the nurses spoke to them about the importance of dairy.  We had cows visit at lunch and every child that wanted to, could milk the cow.  The local 4-H club brought the cows, talked about how much they eat, how much milk they produce, etc.  They also brought two 3 day old calves!

Here’s some of the posters made by some of the classrooms; they were hung in the cafeteria for all to enjoy!
